When you place a bid on an auction it raises the value of the auction you could win. At the same time you extend the deadline of the auction. See the auction description to know the raises value of the auction. Some auctions require more than one bid.

Auction ending
The auction ends when the timer runs out. The winning bidder collects the final bid (current bid) of the auction in cash money.
